The month of November of this year seems to be a loaded month of events for all the Filipinos! The news brought by different media which caught everyones attention not only the Filipinos but the entire world! The Philippines was once again put in the headlines of the news. The stories and gossips have been revealed and to summarize for the whole month let us review the top stories:

Let start the story with a good news coming from our “kababayan” Mr. Manny “PACMAN” Pacquaio who won his 7th title in professional boxing arena. The entire nation celebrated with his victory. No doubt he is the the best boxer in the world today and maybe for the next decade. This proves that Filipino could be on top if and only if we will strive for the best. “YOU KNOW”

On the  opposite story, the winning of Pacquiao was not celebrated in a high not unlike his previous winnings. Why? Because of the rumors behind his love affair with Krista Ranillo, a showbiz personality. Of course the whole nation sympathize his wife Jinky Pacquiao. Everybody condemn Ms. Ranillo despite the fact that only she and PACMAN know the real score. Anyway let’s leave this topic to  ”The Buzz”.

After a few days, Philippines crowned the newly  Miss Earth 2009 at Ecovillage in Boracay Island. We all know that Miss Earth is one of the major pageant in the world. The bad news is, it was not as grandiose as it was before. Budget constrain and lack of sponsorship were the reasons why the foundation produce a lousy pageant. Still kudos to our representative Miss Sanrda Seifert who won 1st Runner Up ( i thought she will won). This means lousy judgment? Congrats to Miss Brazil for winning the crown.

My heart really sniveled while watching the news and videos on the television last few days ago. We never know if one of them is our relative or friend. I mean we can’t help it. we are just here sitting down while watching those people being drown and carried away by the flood. Not only that, this hurricane are ravaging all the properties esp. the houses that was once filled with bliss of all the family who lived there. Just try to imagine if you’re in that situation, what will you do? I mean what if you’re safe but your family was still missing? You don’t even know where are they…. My heart was really crashed.. It’s one of the worst enigma that we’ll never forget…. But one thing I have in mind… Why all these things happen? First in Iloilo last year with typhoon Frank… Now in NCR and nearby regions with typhoon Ondoy… What is next? Where is next? What are we going to do to avoid it? Can we consider it as a good riddance?

Almost two years had past since our graduation in WVSU was… We can even recall the first day, week, month or our first year entering the real world of employment.. The application of what we learn.. The place where there is no such thing as trial or quiz… It involves money it involves ourselves and involves our future… This is the reality of  what we right now! Viewing the graph ,  the in demand job for today is the BPO / IT industry, followed by the office staff, banking, academe, abroad and etc.. The 34 young professionals involves in varied job which are their source of living… This statistics is the present representation but this is irreplaceable and irrevocable until we can settle for what we want most. Until we consider  as our final carrier. Are we really enjoying the current job which we have? Or maybe we can ask ourselves do we have choice to choose from so that chose what we like… I don’t know but as of now as long as we receive salaries, money it is fine… It is survival…

The Solar Eclipse… The solar eclipse of Wednesday, July 22, 2009 was a total eclipse of the Sun. It was be the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting at most 6 minutes, 39 seconds. It sparked tourist interest in eastern China and India.

The eclipse is part of saros series 136, like the record setting Solar eclipse of July 11, 1991. The next event from this series will be on August 2, 2027. The exceptional duration is a result of the moon being near perigee, with the apparent diameter of the moon 8% larger than the sun (magnitude 1.080).

This was second in the series of three eclipses in a month. There was a lunar eclipse on July 7 and now a solar eclipse on July 22 and then a lunar eclipse on August 6.

A partial solar eclipse on July 22, 2009 will be visible in the Philippines according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). The eclipse will start in Metro Manila at exactly 8:33:01 a.m., with maximum visibility at 9:43 a.m and will end at 11:01:51 a.m.

As listed also on PAGASA’s website solar eclipse table, the solar eclipse will be visible in Metro Manila, Calayan Island, the cities of Laoag, Tuguegarao, Baguio, Angeles, Puerto Princesa, Lucena, Naga and General Santos, and the provinces of Iloilo, Cebu, Zamboanga, Sulu and Davao.

Typhoon Frank! That was June 21 2008 a remarkable day for every Illonggos! Ang inyo makita pila lamang sa mahambal naton sa mga nagkalain-kalain nga nagkalatabo and I know sa iban mas sobra, double ukon triple pa nga kabudlay ang ila naaguman kay FRANK.

June 21 2008 sng nag-umpisa ang tanan. Sa amon sa isa ka brangay sa Zarraga nga kon sa diin wala ginabaha halin sng una, isa ka makahaladlok nga tubig ang nagahagunos kag amat-amat nga nagtaas kon sa diin ang tanan syado gid ka kulubaan. Medyo handa kami sa maabot nga pagbaha pero bisan pa. Wala guid ako mag asa nga amo sadto ka taas. Kung ano pa ang masunod nga storya bal-an nyo na. Pero labaw sa tanan amy isa ka storya nga nasulod sa sini nga situation nga indi guid nakon malipatan.
